Evil and Intelligent Design

God created the universe. God’s original creation was good. (Gen. 1:31).

An intelligent design of the universe doesn’t preclude the existence of evil.

Evil is a corruption of something good.

The Earth became corrupted when Adam and Eve used their  God-given free will to choose to disobey God (Genesis 3). In the beginning there was no pain or death.  But when sin entered, pain and death entered.

Because Adam and Eve chose to ignore God’s instructions, things no longer operate in our world as they were designed to.

God is good. He plans to defeat evil. God is all-powerful. He is able to defeat evil.

This hasn’t happened yet but God  will one day defeat evil. ( Rev. 21:1-4).
